Dr. Andy Shelly grew up in Fort Dodge, graduating from high school in 1989. He then attended Luther College in Decorah, IA, for three years of predoctoral studies before entering the College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree after four years of study, he continued at the university for an additional two years, earning his Master of Science degree and certificate in orthodontics.

While not at work, Dr. Andy enjoys spending time with his wife, Monica, and their two children, Charlie and Caroline. He enjoys cooking, working outdoors in the yard/garden, hiking, biking, kayaking, snow skiing, and live musical performances.
